Frequently asked questions

What are the eligibility criteria for HGV training?

To enroll in our HGV training course, you must have a full UK driving license and be over 18 years old.

Grandfather rights, more officially known as ‘acquired rights’ refers to different regulations being in place at the time that you took your original driving test. For HGV drivers specifically, this usually means that you did not have to take the Driver CPC initial qualification. However, it’s important to note that drivers with acquired rights must still undertake periodic training.
